What we do
Run by our members, for our members. Everything we do comes back to the aims in our constitution.
Monthly general meetings in person, plus a monthly virtual meeting for members who cannot travel.
Practical and financial support at bereavements, births and other life events.
Keeping Wakirike culture and Ijaw heritage close, wherever members have settled.
A channel of communication between our community here and Kirike Se at home.
Charitable activities and promoting racial harmony in the UK and Ireland.
Meetings
In person on the last Sunday of every month, online once a month, and the AGM every February. Add any date to your calendar in one tap.

Membership
Membership is open to Wakirike (Okrika) indigenes by birth or marriage, and their families, living in Great Britain or Ireland, whether permanently or for a while.
Join a general meeting on the last Sunday of the month.
Talk with some of us, ask questions and see how we work.
Fill in the short registration form, or tell the General Secretary.
Welcome home. You can join the Association. Register online, then come to a general meeting to meet everyone.
You are part of the family. Families of Wakirike indigenes are welcome. Register with your family member, or ask us how it works.
We would still love to hear from you. Membership is for people living in Great Britain or Ireland, but our sister associations and the people at home are only a message away.
Friends are always welcome. Membership is for Wakirike people by birth or marriage, but you are welcome to visit a meeting or support our community and charity work.
Link with home
Wherever we have settled in Britain and Ireland, Kirike Se is never far away. The Association keeps a channel open between our community here and our people at home.
